Maine Yacht Center – Full service boatyard and marina catering to 30′-80′ recreational vessels in Portland, ME is expanding and currently seeking full time year round tradesmen:

A strong high quality work ethic, and a positive attitude are an important attribute to each member of our team. Qualified candidates will bring working knowledge and experience on both power and sailing vessels up to 80′. Industry and ABYC certifications are desired but will consider training candidates with the right skills and aptitude. Candidates should be self-starters, able to manage projects on their own and communicate directly with customers.

John Williams Boat Company, of Mount Desert is looking for an individual to join our
general yard labor team. Some of this position’s duties include:
hauling/moving/launching boats, unstepping/stepping masts, pressure washing boats,
boat handling, bottom painting of boats, boat cleaning, and yard maintenance.
Applicant must be able to lift 50 lbs. and have a strong work ethic.
Position is full time, year round from 7 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday.

Marine Rigging Technician

John Williams Boat Company of Mount Desert, Maine is looking for a Marine Rigging
Technician. Some of this position’s duties include commissioning and
decommissioning masts and sails for service and storage. Assess, repair, replace, and
maintain spars, rigging, and deck hardware. Boat handling experience and basic DC
electrical knowledge preferred but not required. Applicant must be a self motivated
team player, able to lift 50 lbs. and have a strong work ethic.

Position is full time, year round from 7am – 3:30pm, Monday – Friday. We offer
competitive pay, paid time off, paid holidays, 401k retirement plan with matching
contributions, health insurance, life insurance and paid training.
