Brewer South Freeport Marina is looking for an Office Assistant to join their team! Applicant should be able to perform a range of basic office support tasks for the office, such as answering phones and directing calls, greeting and directing visitors, answering questions and performing routine clerical, data entry, and/or word processing work as assigned.  Basic bookkeeping will be helpful, training can be provided.  Candidate should also be a self-starter, manage time well, and be able to prioritize tasks. Position is full time/part time, depending on season, etc. Hours are 8 – 4:30 with some flexibility possible. Job Duties

    • Answer telephones, route calls, take messages, and provide general information; greet and direct visitors; answer routine inquiries.
    • Open and route incoming mail; distribute correspondence and other material.
    • Draft basic correspondence, enter data, and print letters, labels, reports, and/or other materials.
    • Establish, maintain, process, and/or update files, records, and/or other documents.
    • Basic bookkeeping is helpful. Training provided.
    • Order, stock, and distribute office supplies.
    • Run various routine errands.
    • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
    • Good communicator and active listener.

Minimum Job Requirements

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Two years administrative experience preferred but not required

Positions for gas, diesel and outboard mechanics open immediately.

Brewer South Freeport Marine in South Freeport is looking for experienced mechanics or mechanics that want to further their knowledge in the trade.  We are dealers for Yanmar, Yamaha outboards, Honda outboards, Westerbeke and Nanni, Beta marine and many other systems.  Our techs are ABYC certified and attend service schools annually.

Some job duties include winterizing, commissioning, troubleshooting systems, basic knowledge of 12V and 110V, installations, diesel, and gas engines.  Ability to test run boats and diagnostics a plus.

We are on the water in South Freeport, Maine.  Deep water slips and moorings, we store 200+ boats from 55’ to dinghies. Well maintained equipment that includes 50-ton and 35-ton travel lifts, 2 hydraulic trailers, 19-ton crane and a full machine shop.

We offer a nice working environment with 20,000 SF of heated inside storage, clean shops, great health insurance with beneficial HRA, 401K with company match and profit sharing. Competitive pay.

Marine Rigging Technician

John Williams Boat Company of Mount Desert, Maine is looking for a Marine Rigging
Technician. Some of this position’s duties include commissioning and
decommissioning masts and sails for service and storage. Assess, repair, replace, and
maintain spars, rigging, and deck hardware. Boat handling experience and basic DC
electrical knowledge preferred but not required. Applicant must be a self motivated
team player, able to lift 50 lbs. and have a strong work ethic.

Yamaha Outboard Technician

Jeff’s Marine, Inc. – Full-Time – 40 Hours/Week – Designated Weekends for Summer Season & Boat Shows

Reports to the Service Manager & General Manager

Overview

Jeff’s Marine’s Yamaha Outboard Technicians are a vital part of the crew. They perform many of the services provided by the boatyard, with engine service being one of their primary activities. They assist in a wide variety of tasks, from outfitting new boats with engines to diagnostic testing of customer’s engines. The technicians work with the entire Jeff’s Marine crew to complete projects of all sizes and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities & Duties

Duties include: routine service & maintenance of Yamaha engines; diagnostics & repair Yamaha engines; installation & rigging of engines; installation of electronics, including radars, depth finders, and chart plotters; spring commissioning of boats and outboards; winterization of boats and outboards; maintenance of safe work space & equipment; and ordering of parts.

Desired skills include: ability to demonstrate professional behavior, showing respect for customers & coworkers; ability to communicate clearly and in a timely manner; ability to work as a team player and assist others on short notice; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to work independently and identify areas of improvement; and ability to complete projects in a timely manner & meet deadlines.
