John Williams Boat Company, of Mount Desert is looking for an individual to join our
general yard labor team. Some of this position’s duties include:
hauling/moving/launching boats, unstepping/stepping masts, pressure washing boats,
boat handling, bottom painting of boats, boat cleaning, and yard maintenance.
Applicant must be able to lift 50 lbs. and have a strong work ethic.
Position is full time, year round from 7 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday.
Compensation: Competitive pay. Benefits include paid time off, paid holidays, 401k with
matching contributions, health insurance, life insurance and paid training.

Marine Rigging Technician

John Williams Boat Company of Mount Desert, Maine is looking for a Marine Rigging
Technician. Some of this position’s duties include commissioning and
decommissioning masts and sails for service and storage. Assess, repair, replace, and
maintain spars, rigging, and deck hardware. Boat handling experience and basic DC
electrical knowledge preferred but not required. Applicant must be a self motivated
team player, able to lift 50 lbs. and have a strong work ethic.

Position is full time, year round from 7am – 3:30pm, Monday – Friday. We offer

John Williams Boat Company is seeking a marine fabricator and welder to join our team at our full-service boatyard and boat building facility operating in Mount Desert, Maine. Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years experience in the industry. Good communication skills and strong work ethic are necessary prerequisites. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and comfortable working in, on, and around boats. Position is full-time, year-round from 7:00am-3:30pm M-F. Purchasing/Inventory Data Entry Clerk at Henry R. Abel Yacht Yard

Skill requirements for this role include being a fast learner and motivated self starter. Strong attention to detail and work ethic are required to maintain accountability in this role. You will be creating POS and entering in marina software, ordering parts for jobs and inventory control. This role will perform physical inventories and other assigned tasks. Must maintain strong relationships with Vendors, must be organized and able to work under pressure and as a team player.
