Purchasing/Inventory Data Entry Clerk at Henry R. Abel Yacht Yard

Skill requirements for this role include being a fast learner and motivated self starter. Strong attention to detail and work ethic are required to maintain accountability in this role. You will be creating POS and entering in marina software, ordering parts for jobs and inventory control. This role will perform physical inventories and other assigned tasks. Must maintain strong relationships with Vendors, must be organized and able to work under pressure and as a team player.

Strouts Point Wharf Co. in South Freeport is looking for an individual to join our mechanics team. This position includes repair and service on all types of marine engines, both gasoline and diesel, with an emphasis on Honda Outboards. Stern drive experience is also a plus.

Duties include commissioning/decommissioning, troubleshooting and repair of Honda outboards, other outboard engines, water systems, inboard engines, heating/cooling systems, electrical systems and heads. Ability to research in catalogs and on-line. Familiarity with Dockmaster a plus.

KPYY is a full-service marine repair and refit facility operating two waterfront locations. We are dealers for Yanmar, Westerbeke, Yamaha, Suzuki, and AB Inflatables.

Applicant must have a strong background in hauling boats. Primary responsibility to include operation of boat handling equipment including hydraulic boat trailers, fork lift, yard crane, and Marine Travelift. Applicant should possess necessary skills and knowledge to perform basic equipment maintenance. Additional boat related service skills and facility maintenance background a plus.

Kittery Point Yacht Yard is looking for an experienced technical yacht rigger to join our team. Applicant must have an extensive working knowledge of sailboat rigging and hardware. Must be detail oriented. Tasks include splicing and swaging, winch service, rig tuning, and stepping/unstepping of masts. Basic carpentry skills a plus.

Responsibilities vary daily and can include helping with hauling and launching boats, buffing and waxing, bottom painting, shrink wrapping, general building and yard maintenance.

Applicant must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work outside in all weather conditions. Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Experience and a basic knowledge of boats is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.

Position is full time year-round from 7:30-4:00pm M-F.  We offer health, dental & vision insurance, retirement plan with company match, paid holidays and paid time off.

Pay rate is $16-20 per hour and is based on experience.
