Strouts Point Wharf Co. in South Freeport is looking for an individual to join our mechanics team. This position includes repair and service on all types of marine engines, both gasoline and diesel, with an emphasis on Honda Outboards.

Duties include commissioning/decommissioning, troubleshooting and repair of Honda outboards, other outboard engines, water systems, inboard engines, heating/cooling systems, electrical systems, and heads. Ability to research in catalogs and on-line. Familiarity with Dockmaster a plus.

Compensation: Pay $25-$35 depending on experience. Benefits include 401k, profit sharing, health insurance, short/long term disability insurance, dental insurance. Employee discounts. Paid training.

John Williams Boat Company is seeking a marine fabricator and welder to join our team at our full-service boatyard and boat building facility operating in Mount Desert, Maine. Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years experience in the industry. Good communication skills and strong work ethic are necessary prerequisites. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and comfortable working in, on, and around boats. Position is full-time, year-round from 7:00am-3:30pm M-F. Marine Service Technician
Our service center based in Portland, ME, is hiring a Marine Technician.
This is a fast paced, productive, and rewarding position. You will be involved in all aspects of commissioning, troubleshooting, decommissioning, fit and finish work, and delivery.

Responsibilities Include:
 New boat commissioning including but not limited to: new systems, custom
request installs, sea trialing, electronics
 Mechanical diagnostics, troubleshooting, general maintenance and repair
on new and pre-owned vessels
 Perform spring commissioning center based in Portland, ME, is hiring a Marine Technician.

This is a fast paced, productive, and rewarding position. You will be involved in all aspects of commissioning, troubleshooting, decommissioning, fit and finish work, and delivery and fall decommissioning on power boats ranging from 20’-70’ of all makes, models and sizes
 Build a relationship with our clients, along with service portfolios. Make recommendations to existing service customers for improvements creating service work.
 Identify, report, and correct warranty items.
Job Requirements:
 Mechanical background. Electrical background. General boat systems knowledge. (ABYC certification(s) is highly valued)
 Demonstrate understanding of marine systems, vessel operation, vessel construction, and troubleshooting principles
 Excellent communication skills
 Ability to perform well and produce an excellent product with defined outlines, under strict scheduling, with minimal supervision
 Desire to learn new technologies and skills
 Willing and able to use specific software for tracking jobs and work orders
 Flexible, goal oriented, team focused
 Capable of lifting 50lbs, occasionally more.

OUTBOARD TECHNICIAN

New Meadows Marina in Brunswick is looking for technicians experienced with power boats and gas engines.  Yamaha knowledge a plus. We are a family run business, located on the New Meadows River, with a team-oriented environment and high regard for positive employee and customer relations.

Duties include commissioning/decommissioning, mechanical and systems troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair, and sea trials.  Ability to operate a computer for the purpose of diagnostics and work order submission.
