Lyman Morse Boatbuilding in Thomaston is looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to take the lead in our award-winning wood shop.

This hands-on leader will direct a motivated and skilled team of carpenters to support both world-class yacht construction projects and our fast-paced and meticulous service yard. The role requires mastery of traditional and contemporary woodworking methods and an aptitude to take on the most challenging projects in the marine industry. This is a position for a team-oriented leader who will work closely with our carpenters, design office, project managers, CNC programmers and owners to innovate and create woodwork at the highest level. OUTBOARD TECHNICIAN

New Meadows Marina in Brunswick is looking for technicians experienced with power boats and gas engines.  Yamaha knowledge a plus. We are a family run business, located on the New Meadows River, with a team-oriented environment and high regard for positive employee and customer relations.

Duties include commissioning/decommissioning, mechanical and systems troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair, and sea trials.  Ability to operate a computer for the purpose of diagnostics and work order submission.

Education Requirements:  High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Includes lifting boat blocks, jack stands and other items 50 lbs or more.

  • Supervise daily operations and maintain schedules to ensure timely completions of work orders
  • Train and assist yard team when necessary
  • Inspect jobs for quality control throughout the job process

This is an entry level position with a variety of tasks including but not limited to hauling/launching, detailing, bottom painting and routine maintenance of yard and buildings, onthejob training provided. Must be flexible with other assigned tasks by the Crew Supervisor.
