ECYS was established in 1986 by Jonathan Knowles who had a passion for helping his friends, family, and boating enthusiasts in and out of the highest quality power and sail boats available. With a decade of experience in the marine sales industry, he started ECYS to utilize his wealth of boating knowledge to accomplish this objective of helping his customers make the best decisions to pursue their boating goals. And so, in a 5,000 sq ft showroom in Yarmouth, ME, ECYS was born and has grown to be a successful, well informed, boutique yacht brokerage house and new boat dealer. In 2021, ECYS’ underwent an exciting ownership transfer and transitioned to Ben Knowles’ hands. Ben is continuing ECYS’ legacy of helping people achieve their dreams on the water by focusing on each customer’s unique goals and priorities.
ECYS is a new boat dealer for Axopar, J/Boats and Sirena Yachts: Voted the fastest growing Axopar dealership in 2018 and dealership with the Best Product Engagement in 2022, East Coast Yacht Sales has pioneered the Axopar market in the Northeast; selling hundreds of Axopar models across New England, New York, New Jersey and the Chesapeake Bay area. ECYS is working to reinvent the long-range cruising experience in the Northeast with their Sirena Yachts dealership. Sirena Yachts boasts a special combination of modern styling with a seaworthy hull design, and big boat features in a mid-sized package. All Sirena models are built to CE Category A standards, capable of making offshore blue water passages. The Sirena 58 and 68 were designed, engineered, and built for an owner/operator and couples cruising. All Sirena models offer more interior volume that is better laid out than comparable yachts but away from the dock is where she really stands apart. The hull, exterior styling, and concept of the Sirena were all conceived by German Frers and his design team, Frers is one of the premier yacht designers in the world with over 1,300 designs including some of the most successful racing and cruising sail and powerboats in the world: notably Dufour, Swan, Hallberg-Rassy, Hylas and Wally among many others.
