This 2-day course will be instructed by SafetyWorks! of the Maine Department of Labor. The course contains basic information about:

• Intro to OSHA
• Walking working surfaces (incl. scaffolding & possibly a section on cranes/hoisting equipment)
• Emergency Action Plan/Fire safety
• Electrical
• Flammable/Combustible liquids
• Personal Protective Equipment (incl. respirators)
• Machine Guarding
• Hazard Communication (incl. new GHS requirements)
• Intro to Industrial Hygiene incl. ergonomics and typical boatyard exposures to noise/styrene/wood dust
• Safety and Health Program – Supervisor Safety
• Powered Industrial Truck (forklifts)
• Lock-out/Tag-out
• Confined and Enclosed Spaces
