LMT Assistant Manager – Thomaston
Lyman-Morse is looking for an assistant manager to help continue the growth of one of the company’s fastest-growing divisions, Lyman-Morse Technologies (LMT). The LMT Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the division Vice President during the sales process and then leading projects through execution and delivery. He/she must have an ability to understand a wide variety of materials and manufacturing processes. The working environment is fast-paced, constantly changing, and can involve exposure to hot/cold temperatures, loud noises, lifting, and repetitive motions while employing the use of appropriate techniques and PPE. Communication and coordination with the internal and external stakeholders of each project, as well as taking a lead role in estimating and planning new projects, are key aspects of the position.
Required experience includes a college diploma, ideally in engineering and/or business. PMI certification is preferred, as well as experience in the design, planning, and construction of high-quality structures and components. A minimum of 5-10 years of supervisory experience is desired, as well as first aid training. Mathematical skills necessary include the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in various units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, pounds, and the ability to perform metric conversions and use trigonometry and pi calculations for layout purposes. Desired computer skills includes experience with various software programs including Rhino, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and other internet-based software.
