General Description:

  • Duties of general repair, maintenance and replacement of sailboat rigging and sail systems.
  • Includes step/un-step masts, tune masts, swage/splice lines, maintain/repair winches, instrument/electrical installation, etc.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

Southport Marine has a full time salaried position for a Marine Service Yard Foreman

  • Supervise daily operations and maintain schedules to ensure timely completions of work orders
  • Train and assist yard team when necessary
  • Inspect jobs for quality control throughout the job process
  • Inspect boats and oversee yard team to identify problems and recommended maintenance
  • Preform related duties as assigned

Work Experience Required:

  • Experience as a marine mechanical technician or marine yard team member
  • Experience operating marine yard equipment and boats
  • Ability to read and use technical manuals
  • Ability to manage teams and customer service skills

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

Royal River Boat Repair located on the beautiful Royal River in Yarmouth, Maine is seeking a skilled-experienced outboard/sterndrive mechanic to help service and repair.  We are looking for a quality worker with a good mechanical aptitude and strong pride in workmanship. We are a Mercury Marine dealer.  Having experience with Mercury and Mercrusier is a plus but not required.

Our work week runs Monday through Friday with overtime and Saturday mornings encouraged during the busy season.

The qualified candidate must have their own tools and capable of completing tasks with little supervision, be in good physical condition and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

This is a full time year round employment with very competitive pay and benefits:  medical insurance-sick and vacation time-401K plan.
