DESCRIPTION:This two-day course will be instructed by SafetyWorks! of the Maine Department of Labor at their training facility in Augusta. The classroom is set up for social distancing. It will be limited to the appropriate number of attendees to follow safety protocols. \nThe course contains information about: \n\nIntro to OSHA\nWalking-Working Surfaces (including scaffolding\, cranes\, and hoisting equipment)\nEmergency Action Plan\nFire Safety\nElectrical\nFlammable/Combustible Liquids\nPersonal Protective Equipment (including respirators)\nMachine Guarding\nHazard Communication (including new GHS requirements)\nIntro to Industrial Hygiene (including ergonomics and typical boatyard exposure to noise\, styrene\, and wood dust)\nSafety and Health Program\nSupervisor Safety\nPowered Industrial Truck (Forklift)\nLock-out/Tag-out\nConfined and Enclosed Spaces\n\nThere is no registration fee.
